Being where you are at is not always easy. It takes practice and discipline.
Not taking action can feel very scary and uncomfortable when you are first coming off the "busy train".
Practice catching yourself wanting to do do do , STOP and realign yourself. Breathe, connect to your body. What does it need to recharge?
Get on your meditation pillow.
Step onto your yoga mat and allow yourself to be and listen to your body. What does it want to do? What would feel good right now? Listen. This is such a fun way to explore and develop your intuition.
Have a warm bath with epsom salts and a few drops of your favourite essential oil ( mine is Frankincence right now - feels divine:).
Take a slow walk outside where you are taking deep breaths, being present and mindful. Pay attention to the chirp of the birds or that beautiful flock of geese flying in a V formation, the light as it hits the snow on the trees, the tiny icicles glistening in the sunlight, the beautiful blue sky and the sun as it hits your face and warms your soul. You are surrounded by an incredible tapestry, breathe in the art of life.
Lay and rest in a horizontal position for 20 minutes. Allow your mind to get calm, your breath to deepen and your stress to melt away. Release any tension, fear or anxiety.
Find your stillness and from this place take a moment to reflect on your year and what you've accomplished. You are amazing. Look at all that you have done and how strong you had to be to make it happen.
So often we do not feel life, we do not celebrate all that we have accomplished and done as we rush onto the next thing. We do not give ourselves the credit we deserve or recognize the perseverance and discipline we had to make it happen. Today, take a moment to write a list of all that you have accomplished and all that you have done in 2019. Write your wins, your growth, the challenges, the lessons and the extraordinary moments you got to be a part of. Do not compare yourself to anybody else, this is about YOU and YOUR growth.
Thank your perseverance.
It took a lot to get here. Life is tough but you are tougher.
