Grow together

I knew something had to change.

I knew that continuing to push and ignore my body, crash diets, overeating, starving and binging was no longer serving me. I also knew that in order for me to be the best mom, wife, business owner, leader, practitioner and person I needed to be, I had to take care of my body, nourish it properly and frequently enough and give it foods that make it thrive.

"Health is a relationship
between you and your body"

I am so excited to be sharing some of my favourite recipes with you- seriously, these make my life so much easier!!! You will find each of these are very simple, easy to prepare and can be served in a variety of ways. I love using basic, real foods and ingredients when I am preparing foods for our family as they always taste sooooo much better , nourishing and full of nutrients.

All the food that I prepare in my kitchen is now made with love. No more shoulds. No more "pushing through just to get it done" and no more spending hours in the kitchen trying to keep up with eating healthy.

Set yourself up for success this week !!

2. Always make enough for two meals (this will ensure you have enough for the meal you are eating and leftovers- lunches are made ).

3. Multi-meal prep two days of the week (I pick Sundays and Wednesday)- I always make two of these delicious recipes at once- I usually pick one that goes in the crock pot and another that is a casserole. A lot of the ingredients are the same, YAY! for keeping it simple!! This usually take 20 -30 mins of chopping and then I walk away and go play while they cook. This way for 30 minutes of my time we have tonight's dinner, tomorrow’s dinner ready to go as well as leftovers!

4. On my food prep days I always make two cookie sheets of roasted vegetables ( yams, broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, rutabaga) and will use these for our lunches, to add to our dinners or on a bed of organic mixed greens ( which I always keep in the fridge too).

5. Organic Greens, avocados, avocado oil, hard boiled eggs, almond butter, olives, walnuts are always on hand in my house. They are staples to my snacks, lunches and dinners. I always make sure these are in my kitchen. It's so important to make healthy food convenient too.

That's it!! Keep it simple. Choose foods that bless your body, that make your body thrive ( if you're feeling stuck, download my recipe book here) AND start exploring well-being, not as a measure of how you look or your waist size but as the way you feel, engage and show up in the world.
